What You Can See, and What You Can't.

Obvious damage is easy to spot from the driveway. The damage that causes problems months later usually isn't. Tell us what you've found and we'll tell you what to check next.

Lifted or missing sheets and tiles

The next shower comes straight in. We tarp first if rain is still around, then replace the sheets or tiles and re-secure everything that moved.

Water through the ceiling

Get a bucket under it, move anything valuable and call. We trace the entry point through the roof cavity and make it safe the same visit where we can.

Gutters torn off brackets

Wind and debris load tear gutters away from the fascia. We re-fix or replace the run and check the downpipes it was feeding.

Hail dents and dings

Dented sheets and gutters may still work, but dented flashings and cracked tiles won't. Worth a proper check and photos before you decide on a claim.

Nothing obvious, but a big storm went through

Hairline tile cracks, lifted flashing edges, loosened ridge pointing and torn skylight seals don't show from the ground. A post-storm inspection finds them before the next rain does.

Insurer wants a report

We inspect, photograph every finding and provide an itemised quote matched to the insurance scope. The sooner it's done after the storm, the easier the claim.

One Team, Four Jobs

Tarp. Make Safe. Document. Repair.

Storm damage is a sequence, not a single visit. We handle each step so you're not coordinating three different trades.

Emergency Tarping

Heavy-duty tarps, tied off against wind lift, to stop water spreading while the repair is scoped.

Make Safe

Loose sheets, hanging gutters and unsafe flashings secured or removed so nobody gets hurt and nothing else fails.

Inspection & Report

Dated, itemised report with photos of every finding, written to match what an assessor needs.

Repairs & Reinstatement

Sheets, tiles, flashings, gutters and ceilings repaired properly, with plasterers and painters coordinated where needed.

Storm just gone through? Book a post-storm check now, it's usually a same-week job.

Storm and Hail Damage Repairs

Strong winds and hail can dent sheeting, lift flashings, crack tiles and tear gutters off their brackets. We assess every part of the system and repair it properly, not just patch it.

  • Lifted and damaged roof sheet replacement
  • Hail-damaged tile and gutter repairs
  • Re-secured and re-sealed flashings
  • Bracket and downpipe re-fitting

Emergency Tarping

When the rain is still coming and the damage is still spreading, tarping buys time. We arrive fast, secure the roof, and stop the water before it gets further into the home.

  • Rapid response, phone any hour
  • Heavy-duty tarp installation
  • Secure tie-off to prevent wind lift
  • Made-safe report for your insurer

Leaking Ceilings and Roofs

A wet patch in the ceiling usually means water has been getting in for a while. We trace the source through the roof cavity, repair it, and confirm the ceiling can be reinstated safely.

  • Roof cavity inspection and leak tracing
  • Targeted roof and flashing repairs
  • Damaged ceiling sheet assessments
  • Coordination with plasterers and painters

Insurers need detail, photos and a proper scope. We carry out the inspection, document every finding, and provide a report your assessor can actually work from.

  • Full roof and gutter post-storm inspection
  • Detailed photo documentation
  • Itemised quote matched to insurance scope
  • Direct liaison with insurers and assessors

Straight Answer

Call Now or Book a Visit?

Not every storm job is an emergency. Here's how we triage what you tell us on the phone.

Call now if… Make safe first

  • Water is actively coming into the home
  • Sheets, tiles or gutters are loose and could fall
  • A tree or large debris is on the roof
  • More rain is forecast and the roof is open

Book a visit if… Usually same week

  • The roof is dry and nothing is hanging
  • You want a post-storm check and report for insurance
  • Hail has dented sheets or gutters but nothing is leaking
  • You've noticed a stain since the storm but it's not spreading
Local Knowledge

Storms in Wollongong & the Illawarra

East-coast lows and summer storms hit the Illawarra hard, and the escarpment funnels wind and rain onto the coastal suburbs. Obvious damage brings the first call; the damage that costs the most is the hairline crack or lifted flashing that lets a little water into the sarking every time it rains, until the ceiling stains months later.

Timing matters with insurance. Most policies have a notification window, and the closer an inspection sits to the storm, the easier it is to link the damage to it. Photos taken in the days after the storm, and a dated report from a licensed roof plumber, carry real weight even if you decide not to claim straight away.

We attend storm work right across the region, from Helensburgh and the northern beaches to Shellharbour, Kiama and Gerringong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight Answers From People Who Know Roofing.

Can you work directly with my insurer after storm damage?

Yes, we work with insurers regularly. We provide detailed reports, photos and itemised quotes that match what your assessor needs, and we can tarp and make safe straight away, before the claim is finalised.

Should I claim, or just pay for the repair?

That's your call and your insurer's, but a dated inspection report gives you the option later. Even if you don't claim now, having the report on file helps if a leak appears down the track.

How soon after a storm should I get the roof checked?

As soon as practical. Insurers find it easier to link damage to a storm when the inspection sits close to the event, and small cracks let in water with every rain until they're found.

Is a tarp a fix?

No, it buys time. A tarp stops the water spreading while the repair is scoped and the claim is sorted. We tie it off properly so wind doesn't lift it, then come back for the repair.

Can you fix the ceiling too?

We repair the roof and assess the ceiling sheets, then coordinate with plasterers and painters for the reinstatement so you're not chasing three trades.

Do you do post-storm inspections if nothing looks damaged?

Yes, and it's one of the most useful visits we do. Lifted flashings, loosened pointing and torn seals don't show from the ground. If nothing is wrong you get a written record that the roof was sound after the storm.
